Lil Durk has become a living testimony to the phrase "comeback kid." Ever since he declared his independence from Def Jam Recordings, the Chi-town native has figuratively stepped on the necks of his competitors and applied pressure. Now he's back with a new video for "Granny Crib," a song off his recently released EP, Just Cause Y'all Waited.

The video takes the viewer into the shoes of the 25-year-old Chicago rapper as he shows how far he's come from trapping in his grandmother’s house. Durk has flashbacks to times when there were roaches all over the place as well as dirty dishes and unsanitary living conditions he was forced to endure. But thanks to his hard work, dedication and resilience, he was able to move out on his own to a mansion, where he enjoys the finer things in life.

"Came a long way to a mansion crib/I had roaches out my granny crib/Jumped into the streets on accident/Police snatched me up they better not ask me shit," Durk rhymes.

“Granny Crib” is just another visual to come from Durk, who recently delivered his "Cross Roads" video. Aside from the new music and visuals, the rhymer is planning on expanding his family. Durk will welcome a new child in the coming months. He shared the news on social media earlier this month. "India pt2 Lol with my lil baby inside her," Durk tweeted with a photo of himself and girlfriend India Royale, who appeared with a baby bump.
