Freeway was diagnosed with kidney failure nearly three years ago and unfortunately, it appears he is still searching for a transplant partner to save his life. The Philly MC provided an update on his health to Instagram from Baltimore's Johns Hopkins Hospital last week (May 2).

"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for. Feeling Hopeful! At #jhonhopkins talking New Kidney shoot a prayer up for ya boy," he optimistically captioned.

The Roc Nation signee later posted a photo with the doctor who he's working with towards a success transplant. Freeway classified his doc as "one of the best transplant surgeons in the world" and says he'll be featured in his Think Free documentary.

The upcoming special will showcase his step-by-step trek toward a healthy lifestyle while becoming an ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation in the process.

Freeway made his return to music last month with the trap-filled "All The Way Live." The 39-year-old is gearing up to release his sixth studio LP, also titled Think Free, on June 8. He previously stopped by Hot 97 for a smooth 8-minute freestyle with Funkmaster Flex last month where he touched on a multitude of topics ranging from his health problems to penning a new deal with Roc Nation and more.
