Dr. Dre's Los Angeles mansion already features an infinity pool with ocean views, a gym, outdoor kitchen and a moat, but according to documents obtained by TMZ, the producer is looking to expand his home. A May 29 report claims Dre is looking to add an underground section to the mansion.

Documents state the legendary producer has plans to dig up a portion of his property, which is roughly the size of his current home, to build a basement that will also include lightwells. Dre has obtained permits which will allow him to add retaining walls around the house, as well as a guard house.

While a price for the job is unclear, excavation and addition costs, along with construction could reach millions of dollars. The Compton artist applied for the permit a few years ago, but was only recently granted them in May.

Although the producer caught a win with the permits for his planned expansion, he recently lost a trademark battle against a Pennsylvania-based gynecologist named Dr. Drai. Dre tried to block the medical doctor from filing a trademark for the name, claiming it would cause confusion between the two.

Ultimately, the trademark office sided with the OB-GYN, who has also written books under the name, and stated there wasn't enough evidence to show that the public would be confused by the names.
