With Trippie Redd gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated debut album, the Ohio-born artist salutes the song that fueled his rise with his latest ink. The fresh face tattoo reads "Love Scars" underneath his left eye with a black scar running from above his eye to the writing under his left cheekbone region.

A clip captured from the tattoo artist's Instagram story today (April 10) gives an up close visual to the "Dark Knight Dummo" artist's latest body art. This is not Trippie's first face tattoo either.

The dark "Love Scars" song saw an official release in 2016 and an accompanying video in June of 2017 after garnering significant buzz. The track has accumulated nearly 40 million views since its release.

Recently, the rising rap rockstar teased new music on his Instagram on Monday (April 9) hinting that fresh sounds could be on the way very soon. He also linked up with Lil Yachty to drop some new verses over the Three 6 Mafia classic "Who Run It," and was featured on Diplo's new EP California.

Though the year has been hugely successfully for Trippie, it hasn't been entirely smooth sailing. He had a documented beef with XXXTentacion, which has since been squashed, but he has however continued his war of words with Bow Wow about who runs the state of Ohio.
