A shooting took place at the Barclays Center Saturday night (April 21) while Adrien Broner and Jessie Vargas prepped for their headlining bout. According some sources, a member of controversial rapper 6ix9ine's crew might have been the person that popped off.

TMZ reports their law enforcement sources tell them they believe an unidentified person in the "Gummo" rapper's entourage licked a shot during an altercation with rival Casanova and his team. According to their report, the two crews ran into each other in a hallway at the venue and things went left. Pushing and shoving led to a firearm being brandished and a shot fired.

The reports states a shell casing was recovered, but had already been tainted by event staff and not processed. 6ix's crew was reportedly interviewed by instigators, but no one was found to have a weapon on them.

XXL has confirmed with the New York City Police Department a shooting occurred at the Barclays Center around 9:30 p.m. They revealed there was some property damage during the incident, but no one was injured and police did not make any arrests.

Drama between Casanova and 6ix9ine's crews had been bubbling since earlier in the day when 6ix taunted the "Don't Run" rapper after footage surfaced that appeared to show someone shooting at Cas during the filming of a music video. Casanova denied that is what happened, kicking off a back-and-forth between the rappers on social media.

6ix9ine was reportedly supposed to walk out with Adrien Broner, despite them appearing to beef last week, and perform his song "Gummo." But he was allegedly removed from the venue and could not make the appearance. AB instead walked out alone to the "Gummo" track blaring from the speakers. He did however name-drop 6ix during his wild post-fight interview.
