Awards season is still in full swing. At the 2018 Juno Awards in Vancouver, Canada on March 24, the best artists from in the game were recognized, including Tory Lanez and an international shoutout to Kendrick Lamar.

Tory Lanez, who recently dropped his new album Memories Don't Diewas given the award for Rap Recording of the Year for his hit song "Shooters." Lanez hails from Brampton, Canada and has received critical acclaim for his newest effort, which entered the Billboard Hot 100 in the top three within its first week out. The album features 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous, Nav and others, and has production from AraabMuzik, OG Parker, Nav, C-Sick, Play Picasso and more.

Tory Lanez has steady been putting on for his home country and has been riding on the success of his wildly successful album. Interestingly, the song he won the Juno Award for, "Shooters," was originally slated to have Nicki Minaj appear on it, but she retracted her verse after a disagreement. That verse was leaked last week much to fan's delight.

Kendrick Lamar also picked up a Juno Award for International Album of the Year for DAMN., of which he's received cascading recognition for over the last year. He recently attended the 2018 Brit Awards in England where he performed his platinum song with Rich The Kid "New Freezer," and picked up an award for International Male Solo Artist.

It's no surprise that Kendrick stays winning. It was announced this week that a new book about the former XXL Freshman's impact on black culture will be coming in the future, titled The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America.

Big ups to King Kendrick and Tory Lanez for their wins.
