Today, March 15, marks the birthday of Will.i.am, one of the more dynamic artists the music world's got to offer. The Black Eyed Peas frontman is now 43 years old.

Arriving on the scene with his debut solo album, titled Lost Change, on Oct. 2, 2001,Will.i.am quickly established himself as a talented, multi-genre-dabbling force of alternative hip-hop. His artistic legacy would only continue to grow from that point onward.

Will's dropped four solo albums, but in years to come, he'll likely be remembered first and foremost for his role as the de facto leader of The Black Eyed Peas. The clique, which at its peak, was comprised of Will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo., dominated the Billboard charts with a steady string of pop-rap singles that blended organic instrumentation with accessible lyrics. "Let's Get It Started" stands out, but the album that single belongs to managed to sell over $8 million copies worldwide. Three out of the group's last four albums have gone platinum (Elephunk, Monkey Business and The E.N.D.).  Needless to say, that's a lot, and a big part of that success was Will.i.am. Salute.

In between his career as an actor (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa ) and Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.i.am's made time to go at Donald Trump and collab with the new generation.

Happy Birthday Will.i.am, and here's to many, many more!
