Before the 2018 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting has officially launched, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2018 XXL Freshman cover.

Gashi is an Albanian rapper and singer who later settled in Brooklyn. His Auto-Tune-tinged, hazy tracks have a unique feel to them, and fans have taken notice. His mid-2017 single "Disrespectful" has over 39 million streams, and took his career to a brand new level, in addition to his then-new management deal with Roc Nation. "No No No" also kept Gashi's momentum up in 2017. Moving into 2018, his new songs "1134" and "Used to Be" are gaining steam. With past success and a good feel for both rap and R&B, this year may be one for the ages.
