Domani, the son of T.I., releases a new project titled Amygdala. Spanning eight tracks, this is a good sample of what type of artist Domani is, and a sign of what's to come from the 18-year-old rapper.

Amygdala, which dropped on Domani's 18th birthday on March 16, has no features , and clocks in at just under 30 minutes. As for production, D Sims has three credits, and the rest of the tracks are split amongst a myriad of beat makers. PrimeZ, 88Waaves, Messiah, Narquise, Lil C and Big A all contribute.

When it comes to the title, amygdala is a roughly almond-shaped mass of gray matter inside each cerebral hemisphere, involved with the experiencing of emotions. It's a vital part of the human brain that performs a primary role in the processing of memory, decision-making and emotional responses. Inspired by this, Domani's new Amygdala showcases an array of emotions and feelings.

The project's third track is the song "Show You," which is somewhat of a departure from the other offerings on Amygdala. On this go round, Domani is singing instead of rapping, over a dreamy dancehall-like beat. The chorus is a youthful, somewhat innocent come-on: "I can talk all night but rather show you/Feeling like you needing something new/Don't listen to your friends they don't control you/You could lay with me and do what you wanna do."

The lyrics show a young guy, trying to get the attention of a new girl. "Look, I know your friends in your ear, trying to tell you I'm a player/Trying to tell you what you getting yourself into and I'm aware," he raps, evoking similarities to his famous father. "The way it might look and the image I portray/ Because the way how I get my paper, but it's only entertainment."

This project follows Domani's 2017 release, The Constellation, which features 10 tracks.

Speaking of Domani's dad, T.I. has been making his presence felt as of recently. He helped resolve an issue with a few locations of the chain restaurant Houston's in Atlanta. Black customers were being discriminated against by the eatery, so they protested and T.I. took part. Eventually, they came to a resolution, with Houston's getting diversity training for some of its employees. T.I. also recently appeared in a video with Big K.R.I.T. for their collaboration "Big Bank."
