As Brockhampton gear up for a new album, the group will now be working under the RCA Records umbrella. On Friday (March 30), the hip-hop collective shared a tweet announcing their signing with the label.

"As of March 30th 2018, Brockhampton will be artists under a recording contract for RCA Records," reads a photo of the RCA logo and the boy band's name, which was tweeted by the group's official Twitter account. Kevin Abstract, who helped launch Brockhampton, assured fans that nothing would be changing in the group due to the signing.

"I wanted to be very clear about this and let y’all know that nothin changes. videos still diy, music still made in our house, and we’re still gonna make the best possible product for y’all," he wrote on Instagram.

According to Abstract, RCA understood the group's vision and the rapper knew he and Brockhampton couldn't do everything alone. "They understood that we wanted to be the biggest boyband in the world and I’m a firm believer in not being able to do everything on your own," he continued.

Before announcing their signing with RCA, Brockhampton revealed their next album, Puppy, would be dropping this summer. The album will serve as a follow-up to 2017's Saturation III but unfortunately for fans means the group won't release its Team Effort project.

"No team effort this year," Abstract tweeted last week. "PUPPY IS THE ALBUM NAME YES THE GREATEST BOYBAND IN THE WORLD IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON 'PUPPY.'"
