Last week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans inked a five-year deal with the team worth $82.5 million. Following the deal, Birdman congratulated Evans, who is affiliated with Cash Money Records' Maven Sports Group, as well as his brother, Ronald "Slim" Williams on the signing.

"Congratulation @mikeevans #slim godfather Williams @mavensportsgroup CMSSPORTS #tampabaybuccaneers #13 #RG," the "Heart Away" rapper wrote in the caption of a photo of Slim posing next to Evans as he signed the contract.

Drafted by the Buccaneers in 2014, Evans' new deal makes him the NFL's second highest-paid wide receiver behind the Pittsburgh Steelers Antonio Brown. According to NFL.com, Evans' contract averages $16.5 million per-year and includes $55 million in guarantees.

In a 2016 interview with Billboard, Slim said he got involved in the sports world after seeing players being given bad financial advice. "I have my guys that I teach about being an entrepreneur, a young man, respectful and having great character," he said. "I teach them about the business."

Along with Evans, the Maven Sports stable also includes La'el Collins of the Dallas Cowboys, William Gay of the Pittsburgh Steelers and P.J. Williams of the New Orleans Saints.

In related news, it seems like things between Birdman and Lil Wayne may be better now after footage of the two hugging at Miami's Club Liv surfaced. In the clip, the two can be seen embracing each other before getting into a conversation.
