Even though he is behind bars, Meek Mill is still paying close attention to the excitement that is going on in his home city. The Wins & Losses rapper released a statement from inside of the State Correctional Institution Chester in Pennsylvania, expressing his joy that the Philadelphia Eagles are heading to the 2018 Super Bowl.

Meek says that he is "proud" of his home team for making it to the Super Bowl, and that they have even motivated him after overcoming many hurdles this season. He also says that he is "confident" that they will end up beating the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl on Feb. 4.

“I’m so proud of my Eagles for making the Super Bowl and representing the city of Philadelphia," he writes. "It really lifted my spirit to hear the team rally around my songs and that’s why I make music – to inspire others and bring people together. But the Eagles have also motivated me with the way they’ve overcome tough situations and injuries to succeed this year. That’s why I’m confident my guys are going to beat the Patriots and bring the Super Bowl trophy to Philly.”

As their crucial playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings on Jan. 21 was coming to an end, the Eagles were seen dancing to Meek's famous "Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)." They ended up taking the win, which lands them in the Super Bowl slot.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing off against the New England Patriots for Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis, Minn. at the U.S. Bank Stadium. Justin Timberlake is slated to perform for the halftime show.

At the moment, Meek is currently serving a two-year sentence after he was found guilty of violating his probation by a judge. While his team and many others rallying behind him are trying to vouch for his freedom, he is remaining in positive spirits.
