It turns out that even prison can't stop the evolution of a viral craze. This week, the incarcerated Tay-K, who's been charged with capital murder, drops off a remix of his song, "The Race," and he's brought 21 Savage and Young Nudy along for the ride.

Featuring the same video game, safari-inspired sort of instrumental as the original, "The Race (Remix)" features even more casually ferocious bars. The calmness and nonchalance of 21's delivery only reinforces the whole ruthless vibe of the track. 21 also has some bars for folks questioning his manhood after he showed up to his girlfriend Amber Rose's Slut Walk this year.

"My street cred platinum, ain't nothing fake/Pull up to the Slut Walk with a K," 21 spits, before threatening to kill someone on Instagram Live.

Young Nudy keeps that wave coming strong. "You want the drama, we got the drama/For you and your folks/Whole 'lotta guns, whole 'lotta choppers, whole 'lotta smoke for them/Whole lottta yellow tape, you don't want no smoke with them," Nudy spits on the track.

This new track arrives on the heels of rumors that Tay-K was released from behind bars. The rumor was started by a fake Tay-K fan page on Facebook, to which the rapper's manager confirmed was indeed a fake. XXL has confirmed that Tay-K is in fact, still behind bars.

Tay-K's song is one of hip-hop's most popular this year. Countless rappers have jumped on the song to deliver their own freestyles and remixes of the track while it has climbed to No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100, spending 18 weeks on the chart.

"The Race (Remix)" appears on the re-released version of Tay-K's #SantanaWorld (+) project. Check it out below and catch the original version of the track, which XXL included on its 50 Best Songs of 2017 list, when you're done.
