YBN Nahmir is now on his way to stardom since releasing his breakout hit record "Rubbin Off the Paint," but with great success comes tough responsibility. The 17-year-old rapper is currently fighting for the rights to the track's beat, as he claims his old manager sold it to someone else without his knowledge.

Nahmir addresses the dilemma on Instagram, warning young artists to be careful about who they let handle the business behind their own music.

"ALL YOUNG ARTISTS BEWARE," he begins. "Early on, one of my old managers helped me buy the Rubbin beat off line. Once shit started moving, he got excited and then, w/o my knowledge and on some greedy shit let one these big record company niggas finesse him into selling the beat to them. Then the company tried to force me to do a deal w them claiming they own my song."

The rising artist also expresses his frustrations with being left with the controversy, but assures his fan base that he's going to do whatever he can to fight for the rights to the track.

"It’s fucked up bc this is my big shot and they tryna finesse me out my shit like I’m stupid or some shit," he continues. "Nah bruh, YBN =Young Boss Nigga! So y’all already know, I ain’t havin that shit. OML, Im smooth tho, I’ll rather get up wit somebody before they ever finesse me out my shit."

If you recall, the major hit single from Nahmir, which is currently at No. 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, has been remixed and co-signed by tons of artists since its release. The entertainer has also gained notoriety for his remix to Tay-K's "The Race" track last month.
