VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York is back in the Big Apple and the show's eighth season is already turning out to be a hot topic from social media to group chats. Before the second episode of the season airs, lets take a look back at the premiere and what we can expect from the reality stars this go-round.

The latest season of VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York has already introduced a slew of new faces, personalities and issues. Opening up with Remy Ma's networking party, the show also introduces Bianca Bonnie, Cam'ron's girlfriend, Juju, and seasoned Love & Hip Hop star, entrepreneur Yandy Smith. The women discuss their goals for the future while Papoose, DJ Self and Snoop catch up, when Safaree pops in and locks his eyes on Self's new artist, rapper Dream Doll. That was all in the first 10 minutes of the show.

Meanwhile, Rich Dollaz is dealing with some health issues this season since he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last October. Though the 41-year-old is yearning to get back into the music industry more than ever, a new women seems to steal his attention this season.

Meet Anais, the Dominican sensation who's ready to bring her talents to the U.S. "I miss being a star!" she exclaims while divulging her issues with Ruben, her husband. The two don't seem to see eye to eye often, and with her flirty personality (especially with Rich and her manager, Navarro Gray), the housewife lifestyle may not be the only thing left behind before the season's end.

Later in the episode, Bianca and Brittney Taylor—who have been rivals since their younger years—are brought together by Rich Dollaz, who attempts to help them resolve their past issues. Unsurprisingly, Rich's plans fall flat as Bianca takes a cue from Love & Hip Hop alumni, Cardi B, and proceeds to hit Bri with her shoe.

No, the violence doesn't stop there. After Mendeecees' mother, Judy, catches Yandy oiling up rapper Grafh, the situation goes left as she aims to serve him a fade in place of her son (she's there to "keep things in check," after all). In scenes from future episodes fans are seemingly reintroduced to New Jersey rapper Mariah Lynn, who appears to be sharing a man with former video vixen and model, Sophia Body. Obviously, that situation doesn't pan out too well, either.

Word to Papoose, "it's a wonderful time."

Tune into VH1 tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT to watch more drama unfold in episode 2 of Love & Hip Hop: New York.
