Young Dolph is recovering in the hospital following a shooting in Hollywood, Calif., that almost took his life. The Paper Route Empire boss recently broke his silence tweeting for the first time since the incident.

Early this morning, the Memphis MC hopped on the social media site to seemingly let fans know that he is doing better. "🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬Its DOLPH!," he tweeted.

As previously reported, the Memphis rapper was shot outside The Shoe Palace at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles, following a scuffle with a group of men. According to LAPD Officer Meghan Aguila, who spoke to KTLA, “They had an argument, which escalated to a physical fight. At one point, Young Dolph was knocked to the ground. And then one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and began shooting at him.”

Dolph was taken to the hospital and said to be in critical condition. After undergoing surgery he was downgraded to stable condition.

Rival rapper, Yo Gotti was initially reported as a person of interest in the shooting. That report was later shot down by the LAPD. But authorities did arrest Cory McClendon, an associate of Gotti, on suspicion of attempted murder. McClendon has since been released without charges being brought against him as the LAPD continues to investigate the crime.
