Travis Scott’s “Butterfly Effect” Goes Platinum

Travis Scott has just earned himself another platinum record. Recently, it was revealed that the rapper's latest single, titled "Butterfly Effect," has been granted platinum certification by The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) after selling one million copies.

This most recent certification marks just the latest in what's been a fairly steady stream of massive records for the Houston rapper. Earlier this year, his Young Thug-assisted Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight single, "Pick Up the Phone," was certified double platinum. His singles "Goosebumps" and "Beibs in the Trap" have also gone platinum in 2017. Salute to Scott.

Scott, who's recently been rumored to be expecting a child with his romantic partner, Kylie Jenner, is currently gearing up to release his eagerly anticipated AstroWorld album. He hasn't served up a release date for the project, but songs like "Butterfly Effect" have only added to fans' anticipation.

Scott may not have offered a release date for his newest album, but it does look like he's already planning a tour for it. In a recent interview, the rapper explained his plans to include amusement rides on his next tour.

“I don’t know why it hasn’t been done already – I think people just don’t do shit. Who makes stages these days that are cool?” Scott explained at the time. There's no word on how, exactly, that would go, but gotta love the creative energy.
