Cardi B's reign with her "Bodak Yellow" single at No. 1 has come to a close, but it looks like hip-hop is staying at the top slot. Post Malone's "Rockstar" hit track with 21 Savage, produced by Louis Bell and Tank, has just snagged the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts just a month after its official release.

According to Billboard, this marks as the first No. 1 for Malone's career, despite the Syracuse native having already worked his way into the higher slots of the charts over the years. He previously peaked at No. 8 back in July with his previous hit single, "Congratulations," which featured Quavo. It also serves as the first No. 1 song for Savage, who offers up a guest verse on the hit track.

"Rockstar" also spent its first three weeks on the chart in the No. 2 slot, following behind Cardi's "Bodak Yellow" for the top spot, which has swept the music community this past summer.

The song is the fifth rap track to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this year, tying for the most hip-hop songs to top the chart since 2006, when D4L's "Laffy Taffy," Nelly's "Grillz," Sean Paul's "Temperature," Chamillionaire's "Ridin" and "Money Maker" by Ludacris hit No. 1. This year, DJ Khaled's "I'm the One," Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE.," "Bad and Boujee" by Migos, and Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" have topped the chart this year.

Not only is the song huge on the Billboard charts, but it already broke Apple Music's single-week streaming record last month with over 25 million plays. Malone also unveiled the merchandise to follow up the song's success, releasing his "Rockstar" clothing line that contains a black and yellow color scheme on his website.

Congratulations to Post Malone and 21 Savage on their latest feat. See the announcement below.
