Kendrick Lamar, French Montana and More Nominated for 2017 Soul Train Awards

And just like that, the nominees for BET Presents: 2017 Soul Train Awards have been announced. Leading the way on the heavily rap-based front are Kendrick Lamar, French Montana and DJ Khaled.

Kendrick and French are both up for the Rhythm & Bars Award, a trophy for the best hip-hop song of the year for "Humble" and "Unforgettable" respectively. Other nominees include Cardi B ("Bodak Yellow"), DJ Khaled ("Wild Thoughts," with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller) and Yo Gotti ("Rake It Up," with Nicki Minaj).

Other hip-hop adjacent artists up for big awards are SZA, Chris Brown and 6LACK. SZA's up for Best New Artist, Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and Album/ Mixtape Of The Year.  C. Breezy's up for Best R&B/Soul Male Artist, Video of the Year and Best Dance Performance. 6LACK is up for Best New Artist.

The BET Presents: 2017 Soul Train Awards will be filmed at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 5 before airing on BET and BET HER on November 26th, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST. Check out the rest of the nominees, which include folks like Chance The Rapper, The Weeknd and more, below.
