2015 XXL Freshman GoldLink is officially a platinum-selling artist. A short while ago, the DMV rapper's Shy Glizzy and Brent Faiyaz-assisted hit single, "Crew," was certified platinum after selling one million copies. GoldLink commented on the accomplishment in an Instagram post.

"Black men for the win," he wrote in the caption for the post. "Crew is officially Platinum as of today and I couldn't have done it without the RCA family and the fans. Ima be clapping the fuck down in Brooklyn tonight to celebrate."

"Crew" was released last winter, and it stands as GoldLink's biggest single to date. With a smooth, infectious beat and ruthlessly smooth chorus from the ascendant Faiyaz, it was clear this track was going to do some things. It peaked at No. 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

GoldLink's first platinum plaque is further proof he's on the rise. The rapper dropped his debut album, At What Cost, this past March, and quickly earned praise for his nimble flow and musicality. Here's to hoping his next project is just as dope.
