As far as independent rap artists go, Rittz has been among the most consistent, delivering quality material while continuing to build his profile and broaden his fan base. After a decade of working nine-to-five while pursuing his career as a rapper, Rittz got his first big break when he was contacted by rapper Yelawolf, who took Rittz under his wing and featured him on his song "Box Chevy" in 2010, as well as "Growin' Up in the Gutter" from his 2011 studio album, Radioactive. This collabo gave Rittz widespread exposure and set the foundation for him to step into becoming an artist full time.

Releasing his own debut mixtape, White Jesus, in 2011, on Yelawolf's Slumerican imprint, Rittz would gain acclaim for his rapid-fire deliver and carefree personality. After hitting the road alongside Yelawolf on his Slumerican Tour in 2012, Rittz would pique the interest of Tech N9ne and Strange Music, with whom he inked a record deal that same year. Following his new deal, the Georgia rep dropped his debut studio album, The Life and Times of Jonny Valiant, in 2013.

Taking advantage of high-profile opportunities, such as his appearance in a cypher at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards, Rittz would build upon his momentum, releasing Next to Nothing, in 2014, and Top of the Line, in 2016. Each album strengthened his reputation as one of the more talented lyricists on the indie scene.

With his buzz bigger than ever, Rittz returns with his latest offering, Last Call, a collection of 16 songs and five bonus cuts over which the Strange Music artist shares his pain and glory.

XXL delved deep into Last Call and picked out 20 of Rittz best lyrics from the album.
