Westside Gunn and MF DOOM Plan Joint Project

Buffalo, NY rapper Westside Gunn has been on the come-up for a minute now, with projects like FLYGOD and Hitler Wears Hermes allowing him and his Griselda team, including fellow rappers Conway and Benny, to sign with Eminem over at Shady Records earlier this year. On Thursday (Sept. 7), Westside Gunn let fans in on a surprise—he's working on a joint project with none other than MF DOOM.

"it's official WESTSIDEDOOM is here prod by ALCHEMIST & DARINGER this is one of the illest projects I've ever heard when u think ART, this is it the RAWEST, FLYEST, GRIMIEST shit you've ever heard IN YA LIFE wats dope than FLYGOD & DOOM spread the gospel the day is soon cometh," wrote Westside on Instagram along with a snippet of a song called "Gorilla Monsoon." You can hear the preview below.

The project, which seems to be called WESTSIDEDOOM, is apparently produced entirely by Alchemist and Griselda's in-house producer Daringer (who we named one of rap's 30 essential producers of 2016), so expect lots of dusty drums and soul loops.
