Following in the footsteps of many other rappers this week, Kap G has taken it upon himself to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

On Thursday (Aug. 31), the “Rings” rapper posted a video of himself at a warehouse club store, after purchasing large amounts of bottled water, diapers and snacks. “I encourage all you rappers, all you rappers to go help out,” Kap G said in the video.

While the 23-year-old rapper hails from Georgia, Kap G calls Houston another home of his. “WENT & DID IT MY OWN SELF 🙏🙏🙏🙏 HOUSTON LIKE MY SECOND HOME SO ITS ONLY RIGHT ✊️❤️ LOVE YALL," he wrote in the Instagram caption for the clip.

Kap becomes just the latest rapper to assist victims following the tropical storm. Houston rappers such as Trae Tha Truth have taken a hands-on approach by going out into flood waters and rescuing people, while Z-Ro released a tribute song for the city with proceeds going toward relief funds. But it’s not only rappers from the Texas area who are helping.

Miami rhymer Zoey Dollaz teamed up with LRG clothing to donate $250,000 worth of clothes to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Speaking with XXL, Dollaz revealed he also loaded up trucks with food and supplies. “When I saw the tragedy going on in Houston, I immediately rounded up some friends from Miami to get jet skis and boats to get to Houston and help people that are stranded in their houses,” he said. “I asked people all over Miami to donate whatever they could. Food, money, clothes etc. So we could pack it all up in U-Hauls and drive it to Houston.”
