Except for show promotions and occasional shout outs, J. Cole rarely tweets. And when he does decide to hop on the Twitter mic for something other than that, it's generally about something meaningful. Earlier today, Cole took the time to get on Twitter to address the recent comment made by President Donald Trump concerning players who protest and how to address what he feels is blackballing by the League toward Colin Kaepernick.

"Been gone too long twitter i missed too much shit. Never said thank you for the best tour. Thank you. Europe we at your neck soon," he started. "Got mad shit I shoulda tweeted over the months (or years?) but didn't. I'll do better. Now Ima need a thread 4 this next part. Bare w me."

Addressing the widespread protest by NFL players, the N.C. MC believes the overall power is in the paying public. "God bless every player that finds courage to kneel today. But the real power comes from you deciding to not watch," he added. "Your eyes translate to advertising money for the League and it's owners...You and me have the power to deny them our attention ($$ to them) until they make a wrong situation right."

He went on to spell out specific tactics he thinks will work, which included steering clear of sponsors who don't support players' rights to speak their mind in peaceful protest.

"This may be the biggest opportunity we have ever been presented to come together and show the world and ourselves our true economic power," he added.
