Days after seemingly sparking up a conflict with Cardi B, Azealia Banks has stepped forth to apologize to Nicki Minaj for any of the "catty" and mean-spirited things she's said about the Young Money queen in the past. She shared the apology by screenshotting parts of the convo and posting it onto her Instagram account.

"Hey, I’m not sure if you will see this but I wanted to apologise for whatever catty shit I’ve said to and or about you in the past I really do enjoy your artistry and think you’re so intelligent and clever," Banks says in the first message she sent to Nicki. "You have a really brilliant art mind and often times remind me a lot of myself."

Banks went on to say that she didn't collab with Nicki's ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels to spite Nicki, and that it was industry pressure that led her to link with the rapper. She also said that she worked with Safaree because she assumed he played a role in her success, before saying that after watching his process, she grew to respect Nicki's artistry even more.

"You have my word, that from here on out, I will never say any negative or catty things about you ever again," Banks promised. "Inside of all of us there's a little black girl who cries and the last thing I want to see is that little black girl cry."

In what might have been a surprising moment for Banks, Nicki responded to Banks' message. "You're very talented & very smart," she said. "Focus on what really matters from now on."

Banks was clearly excited about Nicki's response, captioning her post, "Not gonna lie, I cried a bit when she responded. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ @nickiminaj #laguardiahighschool #femalerapforthemotherfuckingwin."

It's good to see Nicki and Banks have buried the hatchet. Maybe she'll do the same with Cardi B in the near future. A few days ago, Banks called Bardi the poor man's Nicki, and naturally, Bardi responded by posting a video of Banks vibing out to "Bodak Yellow." Banks shot back by accusing Cardi of having a ghostwriter for her No. 1 hit song.
