In his storied career, Timbaland has worked with everyone from Missy Elliott to Drake to Justin Timberlake to JAY-Z. Now, you can add up-and-coming South Central Los Angeles artist Rome Castille to that list.

Recently, the talented rapper linked up with Timbo for a studio session after the famed producer heard about him from the various members in his camp. After listening to Castille's latest project, titled The Sixty Series, Timbaland, who's recently worked with 6LACK, told the West Coast MC he liked his rapping style as well as the tone of his music. Sounds an awful lot like a cosign, huh?

Loaded with deft rhymes and autobiographical details, The Sixty Series EP is a poignant look at Castille's upbringing, which includes the time he spent in foster care before he jumped into the world of music. With a hip-hop, soul, funk and house music-infused soundscape tying together some undeniably strong writing, it's not hard to see why Timbo was digging the project.
