The Kanye West and Taylor Swift saga continues, with Swift appearing to take shots at Yeezy on her new single, "Look What You Made Me Do" off her upcoming album, Reputation. Some people were thinking the pop star was taking her digs even darker by making the release date of her album the same day as the anniversary of the death of Kanye's mom, Donda West (Nov. 10). But Swift's camp is denying she took it that far.

"It is standard practice that releases come out on Fridays and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases," a source within the singer's camp told Complex. "There is no correlation."

We are glad she didn't take it there, but she does seem to be going at West on her new single. “I don’t like your little games/Don’t like your tilted stage/The role you made me play of the fool,” Swift sings on the track, which appears to be a reference to the suspended stage Kanye used on his Saint Pablo tour. “No, I don’t like you, I don’t like your perfect crime/How you laugh when you lie, you said the gun was mine, Isn’t cool, no, I don’t like you,” she continues.

This beef is over eight years old and dates back to when West infamously interrupted Swift while she accepted her award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. They seemed to put their issues to the side, but things only fired back up when the Chicago rapper name-dropped Swift on the song,"Famous."
