Playboi Carti will no longer face charges of domestic battery stemming from a skirmish he allegedly got into with a female acquaintance at Los Angeles International Airport last month.

As previously reported, Carti was arrested at LAX on July 6 and charged with battery. According to witnesses, the “Magnolia” rapper and the woman he was with were seen pushing each other before he allegedly grabbed her backpack and dragged her into an Uber. He was taken into custody for misdemeanor domestic battery and released on $20,000 bail early the next day. The woman was not charged in the incident.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles city attorney has decided not to file charges and instead will hold a hearing with both parties to "discuss how best to avoid" further transgressions, which could possibly mean Carti could be assigned to seek anger management. Charges can still be filed for up to 12 months, but at this time, none will be.

This is more good news for the Atlanta rapper who learned earlier this week that his hit single, "Magnolia" went platinum earning the young MC his first light grey plaque. The track is definitely in the running for Song of the Summer for 2017, and has slowly been gaining mainstream success. The Pierre Bourne-produced track currently sits at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.
