Kendrick Lamar continued his winning ways when his video for "HUMBLE" earned him the trophy for Best Hip-Hop at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. Other nominees included Big Sean ("Bounce Back"), Chance the Rapper (“Same Drugs”), D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty (“Broccoli”), Migos and Lil Uzi Vert (“Bad & Boujee”),DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne (“I’m The One”).

While everyone else had dope videos, few received the critical acclaim of K. Dot's inventive visual for "Humble." The vid blends the surreal with the realistic seamlessly and the ends up being even more action-packed than the lyrics on the song—which is really saying something.

On another winning note, K. Dot also took home a VMA for Best Cinematography for his "Humble" video. These wins come just a short while after he absolutely tore down the stage to begin the show, turning in stunningly energetic peformances of "DNA," and of course, "Humble."

With a couple of VMA wins for K. Dot, and a win and performance from Gucci Mane, it's been a night filled with W's for hip-hop. Those will only continue to stack up as the 2017 MTV VMAs continue, and you can check out all of the night's victors for yourself on our winners list. Also, be on the look out for performances from The Weeknd and Post Malone.
