Rising Pittsburgh rapper Jimmy Wopo started popping in 2016 when he dropped his viral track "Elm Street," and this year he started gaining even more traction with his new project Jordan Kobe. But soon after releasing this tape, he was sent to jail for violating his probation after he missed a meeting with his P.O. because he was in New York City to meet with some major labels who were looking to potentially sign him. Two months after being locked up, he's finally been released.

The 20-year-old rapper was released from Allegheny County Jail over the weekend, and talking to WTAE Action News 4, he says he wrote 10 songs while behind bars, and he's dropping one of them, "First Day Out," at some point this week, along with a video.

"I am just going to keep a clear mind and know that I cannot lose this opportunity," says Wopo now that he's a free man. "It comes once in a lifetime, and I got to make it happen."
