The world continues to mourn the loss of Mobb Deep's Prodigy a few weeks after his unexpected death at the age of 42. The most recent tribute to his legacy arrives in the form of a mural that's popped up in New York City's Queensbridge. Check out images of the mural below.

Painted by artist Jeff Henriquez along with his fellow painter Eli Lazare, who painted a mural of Nas a short distance away, the new mural is a recreation of an image showing Prodigy bearing his Mobb Deep tattoos on his forearms. It's been painted onto the side of Urban Upbound's building at 13th Street and 40th Avenue.

In a statement to DNAInfo, Henriquez and Lazare say their desire to paint the new mural came from a place of "love and respect." "His deep and meaningful lyrics inspired and influenced many young rappers and followers," they said.

With his piercing lyrics and distinctive delivery, P painted a vivid portrait of the desolation that characterized QB. His work with Havoc, who made up one-half of Mobb Deep along with P himself, has left an indelible mark in Queensbridge and hip-hop as a whole, and this new mural is a perfect way to celebrate his legacy.
