PnB Rock is finally part of the platinum club, as the Philadelphia native has officially landed his first platinum plaque. According to the RIAA, the 2017 XXL Freshman's hit single, "Selfish," which was released under Atlantic Records and Empire, has moved over 1 million units as of July 7, 2017.

The "Stacks Up" entertainer released "Selfish," produced by Needlz and Donut, back in June of 2016, so the platinum status comes a little over a year since it initially dropped for his strong fan base. Since then, the track has become a huge commercial success, peaking at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which helped land him a spot amongst our XXL Freshman class this summer.

This past year alone has been a major one for PnB, as he kicked 2017 off with the release of his GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions project, which saw 14 new tracks from the vocalist, as well as features from the likes of A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Ty Dolla $ign, Quavo, Wiz Khalifa and YFN Lucci.

Earlier this year, XXL spoke with PnB Rock about his newfound success for our Freshman cover feature, where he spoke on how he creates his music and releases it for his loyal fans.

“It’s kind of hard to pinpoint what you’re going to get from [me]," PnB explains. "I can give you a ‘Selfish’ and I can still come give you like, a ‘Jealous.’ I’m coming from the streets but I can still give you personal situations and relationships that I’ve been in with females. You just never know, I’m just coming different.”

Congratulations to PnB Rock on another major achievement this year for "Selfish."
