Schoolboy Q Avoids Armed Robbery Charges

ScHoolboy Q has just averted a big time legal disaster. TMZ reports the rapper was recently put under investigation for an armed robbery that took place at one of his parties back in March, but the charges against him have been dropped.

According to the celebrity gossip site, the two alleged victims of the armed robbery followed Q to an after party for his concert in L.A. At some point along the way, they found themselves being robbed at gunpoint. Although the alleged victims claimed Q  "never participated in the actual robbery," they did say he pulled up to the scene in another car at the very moment the robbery was taking place, insinuating Q had organized the theft.

The thing is, there wasn't any evidence or witnesses to implicate Q in the robbery, and the alleged victims, who TMZ says delayed reporting the robbery, weren't even interested in filing charges. With these factors in mind, the D.A. dropped the charges. Case closed.

Of course, this is good news for fans of ScHoolboy Q. About a month ago, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith revealed that Q, whose single "Studio" went platinum earlier this year, has an album coming out later this year. There's no word on when it's coming out, but with all the input artists usually like to put in on their projects, any time spent in court would be a waste.
