Back in March, we told you about OMB Peezy, the Mobile, Ala. rapper who moved to Sacramento, caught the ear of E-40 and started rapping his ass off. He caught a quick hype off two songs, "Lay Down" and "When I Was Down," and now the 20-year-old rapper has signed a record deal with 300 Ent. and re-released the two mastered songs on iTunes. Cop "Lay Down" and "When I Was Down" or stream 'em via Spotify below.

Earlier this year, Peezy dropped his "Loyalty Over Love" intro off the upcoming tape of the same name. The project is set to drop later this year, and Peezy told us he's also got a whole tape with fellow Sick Wid It rapper Nef The Pharaoh called 600 Degreez stashed away. Hopefully we get both of those by the end of this year.

Nonetheless, Peezy is bar-for-bar one of the best young lyricists under 21 right now. He's got the fire of Lil Snupe and the soulful delivery of Boosie, mixing sounds from the Bay and the South seamlessly. He's also got a documentary on the way; you can watch the trailer for it below. Plus, he's going on tour with the SOBxRBE, the Bay's hottest crew right now, so peep those dates below as well.
