Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Damn.’ Album Certified Platinum

Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. album was released on April 14, but as of today (May 4), the LP has officially gone platinum.

K. Dot's label Interscope tweeted as much today, simply saying, "DAMN. is now PLATINUM."

The album sold a staggering 603,000 copies first week, making it the biggest week of sales in music so far this year. Drake's More Life came in second, selling 505k, though he dropped his "playlist" on a Saturday, giving the Compton MC a two-day head start.
