As many veteran rap artists from the late 1990s and aughts continue to see their star power gradually dwindle, new names and faces are helping to fill the void left by those figures. The past few years have seen a change of the guard, as former prized prospects are the new kings of rap, and a continuous influx of hip-hop talent of all varieties prove that the genre will be in good hands for the foreseeable future. When talking about the more accomplished and acclaimed MCs to make their debut this decade, names like Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole are among the first to come to mind, but one rapper that has quietly made a case for being included in that conversation is Logic.

After plying his trade on the mixtape circuit and securing a record deal with Def Jam Recordings, Logic released his debut album, Under Pressure, in 2014, which would be praised as one of the stronger debuts of the year and be certified gold, the metrics yet another sign that the kid from Gaithersburg, Md. is the real deal. After he entrenched himself as a young star with his sophomore album, The Incredible True Story, in 2015, and went back to his mixtape roots with 2016's Bobby Tarantino, Logic has returned with what may be his most impressive and ambitious long player to date, Everybody.

The album features fellow spitters Black Thought, Chuck D, Killer Mike, Juicy J and vocalists Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lucy Rose, Ansel Elgort, and Damian Lemar Hudson, as well as recurring appearances from Neil deGrasse Tyson. Tackling the topic of race and his own internal struggle with being biracial, Logic turns in an album that is filled with gems, like an exclusive J. Cole verse on "AfricAryaN," that keeps listeners on their toes.

With Logic's latest body of work currently in heavy rotation, we've selected 20 of the best lyrics from Everybody that are likely to be among your favorites for years to come.
