Johnny Cochran may be dead, but there are still plenty of skillful lawyers willing to work their legal wizardry for the right price. Unsurprisingly, Young Thug has access to at least a few of them. According to TMZ, the Jeffery artist is now off the hook for felony drug charges after his lawyers used a technicality to get him out of the bind.

The drug charges stem from the time police found weapons, marijuana and cocaine after they raided Thugger's Sandy Springs, Ga. home back in July 2015. Following the raid, Thug was charged with felony cocaine possession, marijuana possession and three counts of felony gun possession.

From the outset, things didn't look good for Thugger, but his lawyers were able to argue that police had conducted the search of Thugger's home without a proper warrant, and so therefore had overstepped their boundaries. The judge agreed with Thugger's lawyer, and the D.A. dropped all the charges against the Slime Season 3 rapper. Game, set, match.

Of course, Thugger dodging any jail time for this incident is a good thing for all his fans, as it means he won't be missing the studio for any extended period of time. Recently, the ultra-unique vocalist appeared alongside Ariana Grande and Pharrell on Calvin Harris' new single, "Heatstroke." He also delivered a stellar guest verse on Drake's standout More Life cut, "Sacrifices."

Congrats to Thugger for winning his case. We look forward to hearing new gems in the near future.
