Kendrick Lamar's new album, Damn., clearly took some hard work and dedication to put together for all those involved. Apparently, you can add sleeping on studio couches and in sleeping bags as some of the sacrifices that were made to make the project as good as possible.

Kendrick Lamar's right-hand producer Soundwave recently conducted an interview with GQ, where he revealed how serious things got during crunch time and how it became mando that producers sleep in the studio.

"Once he got his whole brainstorming thing down and we knew the direction we were going we locked down the studio for months," Soundwave said. "Never left. Literally sleeping bags in the studio. Every producer who was on this project literally had to sleep in the studio. We were not leaving until this was a perfect sound to us."

The list of producers on the project include a who's who of some of the game's best beat makers in Mike WiLL Made-It, Alchemist, Cardo, DJ Dahi, Terrace Martin, Sounwave, 9th Wonder and BADBADNOTGOOD. There is also plenty of new talent too.

There were rumors floating around that Kung Fu Kenny had new music coming soon. But the TDE rapper recently dashed fans' hopes with the single tweet, “KenFolk. ThankU 4 the desire of always anticipating new music of my own. None is coming. My work will be in our future TDE dates tho. 💯#DAMN.”
