Cam'ron's basketball playing past has been well documented and even fully delved into by the MC on his second album S.D.E. But just in case you forget, the Harlem rapper recently decided to take a stroll down memory lane and call out the NYC hoop legends he says he used to give that work to on the basketball court, including Stephon Marbury.

Cam posted a picture of Big Apple high school hoop stars turned pros, Kareem Reid, Stephon Marbury, God Shamgod and Rafer Alston, along with the caption, "Every nigga I gave the business to in HS.. Except #Shamgod lol..🏀🏀🏀🏀 ask'm."

When a couple of the people in the photo responded with different memories of how things played out, Killa doubled down, adding, "So my former opponents are denying me my high school legacy😂😂 @starburymarbury we knocked u out the playoffs in the semi_finals to go to the chip in 92' (I'm lying?) I had 27.. U had about 12 and da L, and the countless times in laguardia house I scrapped u. @best_kept_12 I gave u 50 points in Forrest, u always talking bout u had 50 something.. U had about 40.. And u was ringing!! Skip (rafer) was on my team in laguardia house (tournament) and was a lil salty when I got MVP.. Over him.. Y'all all went pro.. Let me live 😂😂.. Thx."

This isn't the first time Cam has boasted about handing Marbury Ls on the court. During his first interview in 1998, he said he used to “bust [Marbury's] ass” in high school.

See 8 Rappers Who Were Former Basketball Players

Camron Baller

Rap has always gone hand-in-hand with basketball. The love for the game has been proclaimed by several rappers in songs and interviews, but there's even been some rappers that have aspired to be NBA players before making it big in the rap game.

Rappers like 2 Chainz and Cam'ron had successful basketball careers during their high school days, but unfortunately injuries sidelined both artists and put a halt to their basketball careers. New Orleans entrepreneur and No Limit head honcho, Master P reached the Charlotte Hornets training camp during the 1998-99 season, but unfortunately never got a chance to play a single regular game in the NBA.

There's been a few more rappers that had luck during their high school and college days on the court. Today, XXL looks at 8 rappers who were former ball players in high school, college and the NBA.
