6lack is a star on the rise. The Atlanta crooner recently made his debut on The Late Late Show With James Corden, performing his single "Prblms."

Wearing a black hoodie and his signature untamed locs, 6 performed the sultry track on a dark stage with pulsating lights, backed by an ensemble of singers and a live band. The song resides on 6lack's Free 6lack LP.

The performance was part of Beats 1’s new Up Next series, hosted by Zane Lowe. 6lack and Lowe later chopped it up about the singer's rise to fame (below).

6lack's trajectory has been going sharply upward over the last 12 months. Last November, he put out his debut album Free 6lack. XXL spoke with the Atlanta artist shortly after the project dropped, where he talked about carving his own identity. “I wouldn’t want anyone to attach some kind of name towards what I would be," he said. "I would want then to look at me like, I see that you’re here for something and you can be something great. What you’re going to be that is specifically for you. Basically the space that you’re about to fill is your space and nobody else.”

Since then, 6lack has been a hot commodity, having worked with The Weeknd and Jhene Aiko. He also has music in the works with Gucci Mane. Abel also added him to the Starboy: Legends of the Fall Tour, which kicks off next week.

He also has bars. 6lack recently released a throwback video of him battling from a few years ago (below). Maybe we will hear more of him spitting on upcoming projects.
