Don't look now, but Ugly God is on the come-up. The "Water" rapper, whose video for the song has accumulated over 26 million views in less than a year, got yet another sign of his continuing rise to hip-hop stardom when he was rushed by fans at a San Francisco mall. He documented the experience with a video on his Instagram account.

In the clip, we see him in a shoe store posing for a picture with someone who appears to be a pre-teen. Moments later, the camera shifts to a scene just a few steps outside the of the store, and we see what must be dozens of kids going crazy at the sight of the ascendant Houston rapper.

If Ugly God's 2017 is anything like his 2016, he can probably expect to be mobbed by more large groups of his fans. Late last year, XXL spoke to the Houston rapper about his sources of inspiration and his career goals. Apparently, he's more concerned with being influential than he is with being wealthy.

“I don’t care about getting rich off of music. If that happens that would be awesome," he explained at the time. "But I’m going to be legendary."

In other Ugly God-related news, the rapper is currently gearing up to drop his The Booty Tape project in the near future. He dropped "Bitch!," a song from the forthcoming mixtape, at the top of last month. You can check that out here.
