The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Hailing from Detroit is newcomer Tee Grizzley, who aims to land a spot on the cover of XXL's 2017 Freshman Class issue. Best known for his record "First Day Out," which has amassed over 645,000 plays on SoundCloud and over 22 million views on YouTube, the 22-year-old rapper recently made headlines when he announced he had signed to 300 Entertainment.

His Lil Yachty-assisted track "From the D to the A" dropped in March and is already racking up major plays. Tee Grizzley's presence in the short amount of time that he's been rapping has certainly being well-received by rap fans across the country, which only helps the young rhymer make a name for himself as one of the new faces of Detroit rap.
