When you're as glamorous as Nicki Minaj, the world is your runway, but recently, The Pinkprint artist made it official when she signed with modeling agency Wilhelmina. So now, you can add "model" to "rapper/actor" when describing the Young Money MC.

Nicki confirmed the news with an Instagram post including a screenshot of Vogue's tweet breaking the news, captioning it, "Oh yea. That too. thank you #Vogue for breaking this story. Honored to be @wilhelminamodels."

In an email to Vogue, Nicki explained some of her reasoning for signing with the agency, writing, “I love the synergy between my music and how it inspires my fashion. My message is always celebrating your own style,” the “Right Thru Me” performer told Vogue in an email. “I’m thrilled and honored to have signed with Wilhelmina—they get me.”

Nicki might have just signed with a modeling agency for the first time, but she's been active in and around the fashion world for a while now. About two years ago she served as the face of Roberto Cavalli’s spring campaign. Nicki even made a stunning fashion statement of her own at this year's Paris Fashion Week.

With her style and status as a superstar, Nicki gives Wilhelmina a lot to look forward to.
“We’re thrilled to work alongside Nicki Minaj and her team,” Wilhelmina CEO Bill Wackermann explained in a press release. “She is a style pioneer and icon.”
