Brother Ali's new album All The Beauty In This Whole Life is set to drop this spring.

The hip-hop artist and activist is gearing up to drop his studio project and the entire project will be produced by Ali’s close friend Anthony Davis. The Minneapolis MC decided to release a brief video to discuss the meaning of the project title and give his audience some insight into the steps he took to create this EP.

“It’s completely about the idea of beauty and love and the truth that’s communicated when hearts are connected,” Brother Ali says.

The rapper/activist stamped his name in this industry as one of the most insightful and political MCs in the game. He has released a number of projects throughout the course of his career but his most impactful music efforts came after he made his first trip to Mecca in 2011. Since then, Brother Ali has preached time and time again that he, along with others, should live in a place that contributes to a “healthy community life.”

In 2012, shortly after returning from his trip, Brother Ali released Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color, a project produced entirely by Jake One. This studio effort was a 16-track LP that spoke on a variety of issues such as politics, liberalism, and mass incarceration, amongst other things.

All The Beauty In This Whole Life is set to drop on May 5 and with a preorder, fans can get their hands on other exclusive products such as a 5x5 color screen print of the album cover and the opportunity to download the first single from the album. A bundle package will also be sold as a separate pre-order and that package will include a t-shirt and hoodie.

All The Beauty In This Whole Life is available for preorder on iTunes now.
