XXXTentacion's song "Look At Me!" got some major mainstream validation this month when it debuted at No. 95 on the Billboard Hot 100. It as well debuted at No. 37 on the R&B/Hip-Hop specific chart. Lil Yachty knows plenty about being a chart-topper and offered X praise on Twitter Tuesday evening (Feb. 21) for the accomplishment.

"U breaking music barriers while they gotchu behind bars. That's amazing homie. See u in the free world soon playa," Yachty wrote. When asked which barriers he's referring to, Yachty explained, "The barriers of being labeled a SoundCloud underground rapper but breaking 24 on billboard chart.."

It's not clear what data Yachty was going off of, with Billboard yet to update their charts for this week, but it seems plausible that "Look At Me!" jumped a dozen spots on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. As presently listed, it only reflects one week of record.

XXL recently spoke with XXXTentacion, who is currently locked up in a South Florida prison, about a number of different topics, including his unique style of rap. “It’s real. It’s not masked up,” hen says. “It can’t fit into a box. It’s its own sound, and that’s what I wanted to do, is be an individual, so doing that sound made me an individual. Being as raw as possible or as depressed as possible felt real.”
