It's been about six months since 21 Savage dropped his Savage Mode album with Metro Boomin, and the release continues to do work for the Atlanta rapper, sitting at No. 30 on the Billboard 200 in its 29th week on the chart. 21 meanwhile has two tracks on the Hot 100 with "No Heart" and "X" and stands to capitalize on the momentum with a new album on the way.

"#IssaAlbum very very soon!" the rapper wrote on Twitter early Thursday (Feb. 9) morning. Last month, 21 announced that he had signed with L.A. Reid and Epic Records saying, “I ain’t wanna just sign on some straight business shit, I wanna sign to someone who believes in me and understands me.” Reid was reportedly a big fan of "No Heart."

It would seem then that 21's upcoming album would be his Epic debut, but how that might impact Savage Mode 2 remains to be seen. In November, a cover story on 21 revealed that he and Metro Boomin have another 20 to 30 additional songs recorded that could materialize into a sequel to their heralded collab.

Fans can catch the rapper this May at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, where Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Future, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott and Young Thug will be headlining. Big things seem to be taking shape for 21 in the new year with his aforementioned tweet included below. Just yesterday he appeared alongside Ralo and Jefe on the new track "I Hope It Don't Jam."
