Update:

Conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren speaks out against Wale for dissing her in his new song "Smile." The rapper mispronounced Lahren's name on the track, referring to her as "Tammy Lauren."

Original Story:

Since the middle of November, Wale has been releasing new music and freestyles to keep fans happy. Today, he teams up with fellow DMV native Phil Ade for the feel-good banger titled "Smile."

The new joint finds the rappers spitting about all the reasons their happy. It's the perfect song to start the year with.

"The Alt Rights hate us/Some back baby mommas hate us/We only learn half of the drama, other side crazy/On behalf of Charlamagne I'm sure he ain't trading sides/Maybe I should meet Tammy Lauren, I'll Lauryn Hill her," Wale raps. Phile Ade comes in for the final verse and kills it.

On Dec. 3, Ralph put out “Groundhog Day,” a response to J. Cole’s track “False Prophets.” A few days after that, the More About Nothing rapper dropped “Folarin Like,” a freestyle over the classic Nas beat for “Nas is Like.” Then, Wale unleashed “Black Is Gold,” where he delivers a positive message over the instrumental from D’Angelo’s 1995 hit, “Lady.” A little after that Wale came back “Heisman Watch,” his fourth terrific release in a row.

You won’t have to wait long for the next full-length release from Wale. His new album, S.H.I.N.E. (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy), is expected to drop sometime this year. Recently, a behind-the-scenes clip of a new Wale and Lil Wayne collaboration surfaced. That track is slated to land on Folarin’s next body of work.
