2016 saw Travis Scott solidify his status as a rap star, and it looks like 2017 could be an even bigger one for the Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight artist. The Rodeo rapper gave fans a snippet of the future when he previewed some new music on his Snapchat yesterday afternoon. You can hear pieces of the new banger for yourself in the video above.

The song in the video features Scott's laid back vocals floating over a beat with a trippy, distorted sound. Appropriately enough, the footage sees Scott vibing out as he smokes and lets the song do the talking. "We've been outside, we've been outside," Scott says at some point during the song playing in the background. "If you pull up to the crib I'm gon' slide through."

All together, the clip shows us that Scott is very much in the zone, and there's a decent chance the track pops up on his upcoming album, AstroWorld. We can only hope. Scott is coming off of a huge 2016, which saw his newest album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight debut at number one on Billboard's Hot 200 chart. He was a star before his most recent album, but during a recent interview for the cover story in XXL's Winter 2016 issue, he said last year was the first time he felt like he had fans of his own.

“I feel like I pop out more,” he explained. “I’m seeing like, real reactions and it’s crazy. You know, I’ve always been on those tours, The Weeknd and Rihanna. It’s kinda like a mix of fans. So, when I finally did my own tour, it’s finally seeing these kids fuck with me. It’s kind of dope."
