The beef between Soulja Boy and Chris Brown is on and popping, with a scheduled boxing match to boot. But there's still a little unpacking to be done on how this whole situation started. It was initially thought to be brought upon by Chris Brown taking offense to SB commenting on his ex Karrueche Tran's IG pic. But, according to the Atlanta rapper, the situation goes deeper than that, and involves Rihanna.

The Draco spokesman recently chopped it up with his trainer for his upcoming celebrity boxing bout with Breezy, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and explained his side of the backstory via Hollywood Unlocked.

"What he really mad about is I was with Rihanna. And nobody would have never knew that if you didn't call my phone tripping about Karrueche," explains Soulja. "I was with Rihanna, son. Rihanna, nigga. Google the shit, YouTube the shit."

According to Soulja, Ri Ri hit him up out of the blue to come hang out at one of his shows, shortly after the infamous Chris Brown assault.

He later claims the pop star hit him up to come by and Netflix and chill at a hotel room with some of her homegirls. She ended up opening up to the rapper about the beating she took at the hands of Chris.

Chris later called Soulja up and questioned him about their dealings, he alleges. "Ima be real with you. That's where the beef really stems from," the "Crank Dat" rapper says.

No matter the origin, SB is going to have to see Brown with the hands in a couple months - no Dracos allowed. After a week of back-and-forth, the two have settled on shooting the five in a regulated fight for the world to see.

Floyd will be training Soulja and Adrien Broner will be training Chris for the fight that is set to go down in March.

Soulja continues to taunt the Virginia singer. He recently posted pictures with a woman who is presumed to be one of Brown's ex girlfriends along with the caption, "took that Nigga Bitch."

The woman, who has been identified as Cydney Christine, has since responded with a statement (below). She claims she hasn't been in contact with either entertainer in nearly a year and wants to be left out of the pettiness.
