Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again has often drawn comparisons to Kodak Black, the two making forlorn but hopeful music from out of the darkness of their lives. Now we can expect a collab between the two, and above you can hear a snippet of that song as YoungBoy raps his verse.

Kodak is signed to Atlantic Records and there've been rumblings about YoungBoy being in the same situation, so the collab would make sense on multiple levels (think about how Kodak and A Boogie were in the studio weeks ago, or how Kodak and PnB Rock linked up for "Too Many Years").

Both rappers are facing legal trouble, however. Kodak was released from South Carolina jail in November and is set to go to trial for rape accusations starting Feb. 8. YoungBoy is being held on two counts of attempted second-degree murder in Baton Rouge and will appear in court next month as well.

Both artists are two of the best young rappers out right now, so hopefully we get to hear this collab soon. For now, peep the snippet above, and watch footage of Kodak's first show in Miami last night below.
